Bridget's Gazette - Healing and the Stupid Transportation Lock

About Healing and the Stupid Transportation Lock

Previous Entry Healing and the Stupid Transportation Lock Mar. 22nd, 2009 @ 11:00 pm Next Entry
Today, I went to church, and they had Pastor Jack Sheffield and his wife, Pastor Anne

Marie Sheffield. They were there from having a healing conference over the weekend,

which I didn't attend because I couldn't afford to pay the $20 to attend.

However, they did let us know that after the service, people could go up to the front to

have them pray.

I went up and asked for prayer for healing from my scoliosis. I'm not sure what exactly

happened, but I know that something happened up there.

As they were praying, my legs got really weak and I needed to sit (they had a chair

there for that) and then while I was in the chair, I felt this pressure against my back

and it was just pushing and pushing and pushing me to bend forwards. I kept bending

forwards, pretty much to the will of God/Jesus/the Holy Spirit. I know that I wasn't

controlling what I was doing at all.

As they prayed, they said it seemed like I was straighter, not 100% though. I have not

been in pain like I usually would be, though. I even moved some heavy boxes this

evening and I was tired and a little sore, but it wasn't the type of sore like I'd

normally be with the scoliosis.

So, I keep thanking God, as I should. for what He's doing, and they told me to do so as

well . . . which, well, no duh, thank God for whatever He is doing. I'm very glad to

not be so sore.

They then said to come to any other healing service if they had them. I won't pay

unless I can afford it, but if it is free, there's no big deal.

Also, if you pray, please do pray that my back be healed 100% and that I'm not sore at

all from it anymore.

I know that God is our great physician. I've always know that.

I am glad for the Sheffields and thank God for them. I am also glad that Episcopals

aren't stupid about going to doctors and think that it is just fine and that God

obviously did put them here for a reason, but sometimes, doctors just can't do God's

work.

However, my mom, totally clueless. My shirt was on inside out, so during the

announcements (which come right after the offering), I went to the bathroom to switch my

shirt the right way. I missed that announcement and I get back right as the service is

continuing and she says that she wants to leave after communion. I'd usually stay, but

she wanted to leave. So, after communion, I start to go out into the narthex. Then I

head towards the parking lot, but don't go out of the church building yet. When she

comes, then we are almost to the car, and then she tells me about how we could stay for

prayer. ARGHHH!!!! When I try to explain to her that what she did was STUPID and MADE

NO SENSE, she says, "THAT'S ENOUGH!" That's ALL she ever says when she doesn't make any

sense!

I went to church this evening, and it was a nice service, and contemplative, as always.

I quite enjoyed it. I enjoy both the singing and the quieter service.

This evening, Briana and tried to install the Epsion Artisan 700 Wireless printer. We

would've gotten a lot further, but there was this one step that told us to removed the

transportation lock. I figured out where it should be and thought that maybe we

couldn't get it out of the place. We kept looking and looking and trying and trying to

find or remove that stupid transportation lock.

After bringing up 11 different tabs in Firefox, I finally found a clear picture! It

showed that the transportation lock would be sitting on TOP of the space and not in it

like most pictures made it seem! It turns out that we didn't have a transportation lock

in our printer!

Yeah, so, Briana and I took a half hour looking for something that we didn't have!

However, this situation did show how Briana and I are completely different in the way we

handle anger. I tend to just be calm and sarcastic. I walked out into the living room

and got ready to watch Craig Ferguson's stand up, A Wee Bit O' Revolution, and

simply said, "Briana and I spent a half hour looking for something we didn't have."

We did get the printer set up, and thankfully Epson has "how to" videos for set up since

we didn't know where the wireless network guide was.

Before we got everything really started, we were playing "The Sneever Song Game" with

the colors and animals in my Barnum & Baily Gummies. Here's what we got:

yellow elephant
yellephant

yellow zebra
yellebra

yellow lion
yelion or yion

green elephant
grelephant

green zebra
greebra

green lion
grion

orange elephant
orlephant

orange zebra
orebra or zorbra

orange lion
orion

I'll write about The Sneever Song Game later (though, honestly, we've played it before

calling it that, but now we have a name we can call it!)

Very cool about the healing experience. I'll pray that it sticks...or whatever. Not really sure how that works, but I love the mystery.

Thanks! So far, definitely not as sore as I've been other days. (Right now, a little sore, but I'm balancing a chihuahua on my lap!)
